WPS System
This is an electronic salary transfer system that allows institutions to pay workers’ wages via banks, exchange houses and financial institutions approved and authorized to provide the service. The system developed by the Central Bank of the UAE, allows the Ministry of Labour to create a database that records wages payments in private sector to guarantee the timely and full payment of agreed-upon wages. The WPS covers all institutions registered with the Ministry across all sectors and industries and will benefit different categories of labour.
Client Company’s Responsibility
All companies needs to be registered with WPS through an Agent. Agent will be responsible for registering the companies with WPS. All employees’ salary should be transferred through WPS.
Companies need to provide the information about their employees in the prescribed Payroll format given by Redha Al Ansari Exchange. RAE will convert this into Salary Information File (SIF) and will upload the same to Central Bank UAE, after making the Funds available by the client company in the “WPS Funding Account” of RAE with CBUAE. CBUAE will validate the SIF and sent the Payment Instruction File (PIF). Any uncollected salaries will be refunded back to the companies’ corporate account through Refund from Agents (RFA), within 10 days from the receipt of the PIF.
